Hi guys!
It is so fascinating to meet u all again.I have been waiting for this moment, so that I can share what have I gone through for almost one month in Russia. I would like to start my journey from our paradise, Kuala Lumpur International Airport, since that it was my first time to board a flight. It is not always I could get a wonderful, super duper, awesome opportunity like this.It was my first time and I was out there in the air, (indirectly trying to say that I was in the aeroplane), flying so high to attain a medical degree(MD) in Russia. Profession as a doctor is more than a scroll of MD for me.It is my passion, love and happiness. Treating a patient, or if better said like helping a friend no matter who they are, regardless of their age background is the one that gives me happiness.
I guess I am gradually turning into a philosopher now.All sort of ideas are flowing out of my mind now.Back to the story line, actually, my flight was scheduled at 2340 hours, but I was quite startled when my sponsor asked me to make a move at 2100 hours. That was very early. As they are my sponsor, it is good for me to obey their orders. Some of my relatives came around 10 past 2100 hours, unfortunately, they could not get a chance to meet me. All MINDEF and JPA scholars went together to the place where we were supposed to board the flight. Here are some pix taken at KLIA with my friends.

We waited there for approximately an hour before we were checked thoroughly. Finally, my journey began to Heathrow-London.That was just my transit. It was MAS AIRLINES MH002 that we boarded. This flight was also boarded by Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, who was on her way to attend a conference in London. She was invited it seems. It was a totally new experience for me. Firstly, I found a place for me to put my cabin bag and then i took my seat, as if I have boarded flight for times. The Irish guy who sat beside me noticed me and his first question was "Are you nervous?" I replied "Yup,a little bit".Then began the conversation between him and me.On my right was a Chinese businessman.Initially, he was quiet. I started the conversation with him and then he began to feel free to talk to me.He was sharing the current demand of his business in Malaysia and overseas. I was hearing him enthusiastically.
We arrived at Heathrow-London early morning. Then we waited in that airport till afternoon. We boarded this Russian airline, called Aeroflot and made our way to Moscow.Boarding this foreign airline, with all their people looking at you a kind, is not so inviting. You know something, when I boarded MAS, everything went on smoothly, but when I went into this flight, there came the life ordeal for me. My cabin bag space was taken by the russian. I was searching frantically a place to put my cabin bag and this russian stewardess was standing static and looking at me.She doesn't even have any courtesy to help me.
With the courage I had that time, I questioned her.Only then she looked out for me.My whole journey in Aeroflot was so dull. I was seating by the window. There were a woman and her daughter beside me.This woman was murmuring something to her daughter, it sounded like some dissatisfaction was in the air.I just ignored the fat, masculine woman. Her daughter was more open-minded. I was trying to start a conversation with her, but that fat woman was talking non-stop with her daughter. Then, they started to watch a movie. What a foil for me! But then, I managed to talk a while with her. It was already night when we reached Moscow airport. Then, we met a malaysian officer there. He was helping us out with our next journey to Volgograd.
Without further delay, we walked to the other side of the Sheremetyevo Airport to pick up our luggages and check in these luggages again. Their checking was more strict. You have to take out everything from your pockets. You have to get yourself clear from socks and shoes. There was a kind plastic given to be worn.Since it is my first time, all these things are very new for me but it might not be the same for you. Again, I got the same position of seat. This seat was beside the window. In this flight, everything was fine.Even I met with a friendly guy in this plane. He was curious to know about us (malaysian students) and this conversation was in russian.I was so glad.I managed to talk and understand him even though my russian language was not so good at that time. It was only an hour flight to Volgograd, the city of heroes. Everyone was so exhausted. Our seniors welcomed us at the airport. Moreover, they helped us out to get to our hostel. There was a short briefing and a small refreshment prepared for us. Thanks a lot to the seniors!
That's the end for today, but my journey doesn't ends here.It continues!
